what is the best way to study linguistics terms?

this is the first time i study this subject and i find it exiting but I'm not really
good in memorising actually I'm bad and i don't know how can i study it for the final
exam, there are too many terms to
memorise ! I'm so worried
plz if have studied this cours before ,tell me what was ur studing stratgies
that made it easier to stud ..

You should not memorize the terms unless you are asked to do that. You only have to understand what is there in the definition of the term, relying of course on a good English-English dictionary. Then you can apply whatever grammatical rules it contains on what you have. Understanding will always serve you better. Well, this is what I usually do, and I still use this method until now.
