peace be upon you Mr.Msallam I need your help please in these expressions.. رسالة شديدة اللهجة جريمة نكراء مقاطعة الدول المجاورة and this proverb The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it. thanks alot.. I truly appreciate your help

[Hi Mr.Moslem] I really need your help I have an exam next week My question is: What are the types of change we make on a translated text. & for example what do we mean by structural textual change and are there any other types of changes, I need more clarification please :cry] |

I'm sorry but here is all what I know .. We're studying translation . our doctor said when we translate from English to Arabic or vice versa . some changes are needed . for example in Arabic we start the sentence with the verb اكل احمد تفاح However in English we say,, Ahmad ate the apple I think they call this textual change -I'm not sure- there are other types such as semantic change, textual and cultural change .. I want to Know from you more about them . Note: each type of change must go under one of these two major categories 1-change in the word level or 2-change above the word level . |

سلام يا أخت رنا عندما نقول حكمة ما في العربية فإننا نقولها وفقاً لثقافتنا ومعتقداتنا - الجوع كافر- لايمكن أن نترجم مثل هذه المقولة Hunger is adisbeliever لانها بهذا المعنى غير مفهومة بالنسبة للإنجليز . يجب أن تترجم ووفقاً لثقافتهم هكذا A hungry man is an angry man عندما نترجم إلى العربية علينا أن نكتب نصا عربيا الانجليز يميلون ميلا كبيرأ لاستخدام الفواصل أكثر من العرب . العرب يميلون لاستخدام النقط أكثر من الفواصل المقصود ب change above the word level هو المصطلحات وال collocations كلمة جميل تستخدم قبل كلمات مثل ( بيت ، رجل ، كلام.... الخ ) أما في الإنجليزية فإن كلمة beautiful لا تأتي قبل كلمة man وكذلك المصطلح لايترجم حرفيا . مثلأ He's got the gift of the gab هذا مصطلح ويترجم ( كثير الكلام ) أي بالعامية ( كرار ) لانستطيع أن نترجمه حرفياً لان gift معناها هدية أو جائزة |
