Most South Africans speak English, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll understand what they're talking about. South African English has a flavor all of its own. And here is some funny words
1. Lekker = nice
2. Howzit = how are you
3. My china = my friend
4. Bru = brother/friend
5. Bakkie = is a like a car where you put sheep etc in the boot. I actually can not remember what you call it in english, oh yes, its a pick up truck
6. Doos = is like a bad person
7. Zol = cigarette made out of tobacco or weed or both
8. Klippies = Brandy
9. castle = Beer
10. Braai = barbeque
11. Boer bull = a type of vicious dog
12. cherry = girlfriend
