regarding the above questions, I think that you should not think so much about their answers because there is no one in this world can answer them. God only knows the answers of these questions
and I think that you gave us the answer in the last question
sometimes,I think about questions such like yours, but I recognize that I'm thinking about questions that are above my power to answer

when someone is dead , there is nothing missed in his body , all his organs are existed so why he died ?? because his soul has left him and that makes the answer to you question yes we are a body and soul creatures

i'll try to answer but that are not my logic ones...that is only what i guess it is so easy: we control ourself into an ability of God who has preceding knowledge of what we will do.
yes we will be alive when we die..that means this life as a big dream to whom does not work to the last day but unfortunately when he or she dies , s\he remembers that is something was done wrong in this life
surely we are both because there is no life in one of them without the other
