[english]Consumption and Domination
Two Aspects of the Education of Dilemma

[english]Early in this century, Freud (1856 – 1939) theorized "self-analysis" which is considered as the starting point in the history of modern psychology and psychiatry. His entire theses were considered doubtfully and criticized by his contemporaries and also their posteriors that looked for the scientific experimental evidence to all assumptions. Penfield, a brain's surgeon, was the first one to reach through his experiences to a result that human brain has enriched its previous stage of experiences in a specific position. It also seemed clear to him hat these has enriched accurately in previous stages of life that can be recalled with all what they have of feelings and emotions as if a man were able to recall complete structural stages from its past time and to recall its warmth and spirit whenever it needs to do that .

One of the metropolitan Freudians figured out this result, who is Erie Berne (1910 – 1970), who devoted to theorize his theory in the scientific perspective covered by the experimenter. Berne assumes that there is a unit in people's dealing which is analogous with any one of the units of energy. For him, this unit was "an inciter and a response". It is dealing between two persons whereas one makes a message and the other responses to it. Berne notices that these personal units of participating dealing are under complete changes. Sometimes you find them behaving as "adults" and sometimes you find their responses are like "children". Moreover, sometimes you find them acting up as "parents".

When people deal with each other in their daily life, they are in a continuous changing in three cases. When somebody recalls experiences of childhood with its innocence; with devoting in looking for the unknown things , with curiosity and non-perception of responsibility , with their desires to satisfy the desires , with the flowing feelings and emotions , with inclination to ask without giving an equivalent , and the wide imagination . We say to the one who transmigrates this case that he lives in the " child " case ; however , we have to distinguish between two aspects of childhood : " the compatible child " and " the incompatible one " . The compatible child is the one who feels satisfied with all his basic needs. Thus you find him in relaxing, go to his self-activeness, and flames his imagination to draw, play on a musical instrument, or to play practice any of his hobbies spontaneously. Therefore, his dreams go to glorious Heavens. On the other hand, the incompatible child is the one who feels that there is something wrong in the environment surrounds him and announces his needs to his basic needs of food, warmth, cleanness, or quietness. As long as these needs are unsatisfied, he keeps being lathed in crying and shouting annoying to the people around him as long as he can to catch the eyes of the ones who are responsible for his care to work hard to satisfy him. The final crop of this case can be seen in the fact that this the child behaves to consume the energy of the people near him instead of being creative. Therefore, we see that the satisfied and compatible child has an inclination to creativity. On the other hand, and with the same amount and quantity, we see that the unsatisfied and incompatible one has an inclination to anger and consumption.
For Berne, in other case of persons, subjectivity rules and the feeling of direct responsibility flourish behavior; its introductions and conclusions.
When man cares all care becomes in collecting information and calculating the possibilities, he devotes in turning effects or excitants to a stock of experiences to be ready to recall whatever he can recall to solve problems and dilemmas of the modernity of life. When somebody transmigrates this case and it sparges him with the units of his human dealing, we say that he deals as an "adult".
When it rules somebody in his attitude of dealing with others, all the inherited values directly, like the ancestors, or by too many other ways like family, mass media, or the religious association. When somebody perceives all this amount and when h resembles a complete resemblance , you find that he sit in the high brow sitting , talks at a great length in advising , guiding , explaining methods , and defining what he notices of limits that he imagines and that they are right whatever the measures are , where manners are presented when evaluation . Berne says that in this case one can be described as he reacts like a parent or as an old man. Moreover , I do not think that it is difficult for us to see the " parent" in two important cases : the attitude of "the inspiring parent" who gives wisdom and advice with sympathy and premeditation , and the tyrannical and domineering parent who sees nothing but disobedience and refusal in their behavior in his absence , so he chooses ordering , prohipting , threat , menace and punishment .
In this quick journey in a rich turn of contemporary psychology, we finish with Berne to an approximate concept for tree cases by which the human beings deal: the case of the compatible creative child and the case of the incompatible consuming child, and the case of the adult and the case of the inspiring compatible parent and the incompatible domineering child.

Art, Science, and Legacy


Does a society really contain a group of individuals which are shared with a dilemma, the same place, history, and language? Of course, the society is all of those individuals who are related in a relative and friendly relation with place and through time.

I may say that any social phenomenon which rules in certain circumstances is just what appears on the surface from these reactions with what it has in its own existence of values, emotions, thought, an attitude from the past, and the dream of future.

I allow myself to assume what Eric Berne proved in what is specialized with the personality cases which might be true also in an experience or social case. Though, if we consider that it is possible to define the several items which contribute in establishing the cultural life in the society in a way facilities the process of its observation and dealing with it as well, I find myself eager to distinguish three main components I assume that they constitute the main pillars in which the cultural establishing and also the main items that depend on them. Moreover, it gives the spirit to the social cultural life. These components are: art, science, and legacy.

"Art" is the first component which contributes in the cultural establishing of the society. Moreover, the speaking about art and literature inclusively is really the speaking about the human achievement which studies the individual phenomenon that studies cannot be generalized; on the contrary of science which can be generalized by many phenomena. Activity in literature and art is an innovative active connected with imagination, and it is not a convicted innovation by logic and natural laws as in science. Literature and art constitute the area which is rich in emotions, which are full of feelings and free from these and the new limits. Art is the case that lends everyone two wings to fly in the horizons of constituency, in which the inventors share each other with what they create, and the receivers with what they receive and taste. In this manner, it becomes clear that "art" to the cultural life in the society is opposite to the case of "child" in the existence of Man.

"Science" is the second component on which the cultural establishing bases. Of course, our mentioning of science is the mentioning of every innovative effort which is devoid from love. Science is the general sphere which studies the dispersed phenomena to find what gather them and what can be generalized and it is the mind effort which bases always on what he regards as evidence. Science has theoretical and practical sides. It is theoretical when it studies in the general foundations which rules nature and the general logic beyond the cases of it. On the other hand, it is practical when it uses all the pillars and laws which specific science reach in making the techniques help Man in his life and its difficulty.

With the same way by which we assume the case of the confrontation between the case of "art" in the society and the case of "child" in Man, we can suggest a kind of parallelism in the rules between the cases of "adult" in the individual when both play the same role relatively.
"Science" is the cultural inventor which is responsible attracting the society in quick steps towards its future granting what the society has of fortunes and materials to serve its individuals and to overcome the problems face them.
The third component which contributes in the cultural life of the society is "Legacy". It is the comprehensive headline to which several items are categorized: religiously, thoughtfully, mannerly, experiencelly, and sentimentally.
Also history, tragedies and qualities. Again and again , the inherited legacy whether it is documented or not , tales and legends , traditions and conventions , and wisdom and proverbs with a little deliberation we can consider the case of the " parent" opposite to the case of the " parent" according to the cultural mixture in the society . The legacy of the society is what gives a general feature or a dominant mark to the sphere in which the reactions of the society become active, and it may put a general frame to the directions of the tendency. Thus, legacy in society is like the parent for every man who plays the role the comptroller conscience or the best epitome. Moreover, Eric Berne says that man's life is in three cases that change with each other to be activated at a time or in a case. Man is still a man, and he cannot be changed according to the canons of nature; however, he interacts in three cases of psychological and mannerly existence. You sometimes find him compatible child who has fun and create, or you find him incompatible who cries and consume.
On the other hand, you sometimes find him as the adult who depends on the parent who inspires and guides when he feels compatible and convicted, and he becomes cruel and angry when he is discontented and consumed. Man is not in these cases together which are reacting and co-operating in a marvelous join where we cannot draw a great limit between a case and another. On the same way, we can imagine that the three to which I refer: art, science, and legacy are only the threads of the cultural life mixture of any society, and we assume that the healthy and balanced among these components are the thing which distinguishes the goodness of a nation from its sickness; in other words, it is the thing which distinguishes its maturity from its atrophy and degradation. We receive legacy by transferring from the past, and science goes with us towards future; moreover, "art" helps us to endure the difficulty of the present time by its aesthetic aspect.
We cannot put any behavior among anyone of these three components because where one of them finishes is the same place the other starts. The balance among these components or cases is the canon health and sign to the safety of the cultural life.
If any component deletes the other two ones in any society, it carries it to sickness. There, if "legacy" domineers the cultural life and has the first authority, we find that the individuals of this society become interested in all what is inherited without giving a way to science or art. We can finish in such a society the signs of sickness and oldness as the one who is domineered by the "parent" case.
Like these societies are not far away from us. They are the societies which live by using mind and by the understanding of the past ages.
The society which is marked by the abstract scientific feature that depraves its cultural life from its heritage roots and also depraves it from creative abilities literary and artistically. This society is like the man who is in the case of the "adult", but without allowing himself to listen to the parent's speaking or to be free like the "child". Though, we can consider the society which has encompassments in its wide concept and concentrate all its power for production and research.
We can regard the Eastern Europe society as one of the most perspective samples which science domineers in the culture of the society.
If we assume that can be accessed in all of the spheres , but this will be by demolishing the facilities of the scientific activity and the atrophy or stopping the relation with legacy and this man who is domineered has the " child" case .
This case is very difficult if the society is going to be flourished or to be a home for any man.
This is the we consider as the source of fun and misleading.

Consumption and Domination, as the dilemmas of society

Man lives, grows, and develops healthfully endeavoring to maturity and integration whereas the reasons of his environment are available to him; moreover, he is still able to distinguish between the good man and the strong one as well .Therefore, he refuses something and leaves it, and he accepts something and imitates it. Balance between "child"," parent", or "adult" still distinguishes man's reaction generally. If something wrong happens or prevents him from the gift feature, it becomes difficult to keep balanced between three cases. We often find him either recoils to the "child" case that is incompatible or cries, or he becomes in the case of the angry and obsessed "parent".
Actually, this is the dilemma which threatens the consistency of the cultural life, and so it becomes far from the readiness to ambition. Every society may have a dilemma which may be either chronic or extreme. One of the chronic dilemmas which obstacles in the society's path is the economic dilemma in its emaciation and enlarging .We have also the politic dilemma like the democracy one , which is seen in the gap between the ruler and the people . In other words, it is the reason of dividing the society to a ruler and the people. We have also the settlement military occupation which suffocates the people and threatens every aspect in life.
Moreover, a society may have an extreme dilemma suddenly like the natural disasters, storm, earthquakes, or a flood, it may face a surprising dilemma which looks foreword the complete distraction and to edit its well-known politic blueprint.
What happens to a society which has a dilemma or it is under pressure? Like the man … It is either in the case of child or the (incompatible child - the consuming child), or surrenders to the case of the (incompatible child – the obsessing child).
If a case of reaction rules in a society completely too, that is inconvited and unable; the cheap literature, which is directed to the instinct, the ugliest cases spreads. For example, Love Messages and What to do in the Wedding Night. You can find many people earn money and the customers desire to have it. The slang speaking becomes public poetry by a marvelous power! The Formal language becomes weak and like a strange plant even in its dust. All endeavor to the superficial art that is quick in earning money. The shops become full of the cassettes that contaminate the taste and sentiment, and it never keeps any effect but a desire to vomit and to look or a remedy to the headache. Many new terms impose the artistic life proceeded that are well – known here. For example, the entrepreneurship movies which are produced in the shortest time and the less possible expense. The connection between them is arbitrary and it shows the naked bodies and violating the values and feelings. This is a much summarized description that is close to reality to consuming literature and art in the society of dilemma.
The society which is described by consuming in its cultural life must have carelessness and untidiness. Those are angry ones who underestimate their time, ancestors, and government continually because of their circumstances. They also doubt without giving suggestions and refuse the presented thins angrily without giving an alternative one. They are pessimistic and they never hope. The destructive arbitrary demonstrations which happen from time are like the crying child who strikes the flour with his feet. They are mischievous at the same time. They ask for their rights, but they forget their task. They consume superficial things and they get very angry if they become unable; simply the are consumer.
If the case of tyrannical and obsessed society of " legacy" domineers the cultural life of a society, and if the society depends in al what is inherited and old; moreover, if the supreme goal to the individuals becomes only to resort to past to make it as a dominant power where there is nowhere to learn and to make a change to the artistic creativity, this domineering power will enlarge. Therefore , the confession of the research and allowing to use the new technique in daily life according to what the enraged tyrannical legacy by whatever it has of any aspect of originality or its source . On the other hand, the artistic and literary production will be dimenced, and it will like a foundling isolated child who is looked scornly. People will need him only in specific circumstances from those who appeal that they are legacy and he will earn from him.

Towards Intelligent Creative Inspiring atmosphere

The phenomenon of the (incompatible child – the consuming art) and (the obliging parent – the obsessed legacy) plays the most important role in the society of dilemma and the phenomenon of "adult" is almost absent. Without any complexity, we will never be different if we say that we have to make a change to many phenomena -the thing which is expected- in the cultural establishing to the society i.e. the creative consistent child will have the place of the inconsistent consuming child, the consciousness father should have the place of the incompatible extorter domineering father. Of course, the adult must have a career in which he depends on mind and uses science to analyze his reality and to overcome the obstacle; moreover, to pass the stumble. These are specifically the features of change of the atmosphere of the society of post-dilemma – with reservation- or to the society of stability or rising, as an expected hope.
The culture of the rising society is supported by an enlightened conscious mind, and that the one that is sunk in neither daydreaming nor the trivialities of the past. We can imagine that the word is the richness of the research movement to the fact that there is a real change in the academic searches that are in our time. The storehouses of the universities are full of tens of the presented thesis by the professors who execute the required conditions to get a higher position. When science rules to get what is expected in the society, gathering determination, energy, and the serious work, which are the only way to the census explosion. Here, in the digression, it is not benefit to expand in describing people led by science. In brief, I say that they will change from the case of the incompatible consuming case to the case of the consistent creative child, and from the extorter child domineering father to the inspiring one.
Literature and art in a rising society from an honest human creativity, a sculptured, a drawn, heard, or watched art. Creativity process in the consistent case becomes truly a prospecting for the deep terms in the collective unconsciousness to choose the most suitable and to add the nicest reality and what comes later in signs. Therefore , life will have a beautiful phenomenon , freehanded tone , the conscious theatre , lofty sculpturing , light poetry , and the novel which is connected with time and its wisdom , place and its quantities .
"Legacy" in post -dilemma society contributes with the same amount and equivalent with science and art in establishing a rising cultural life. Post-dilemma society has to look in their ancestor's treasures; for the best of what they research and for the greatest endless achievements of their ancestors in science. They have to look for in the inheritance of the past form the sophisticated values and the lofty taste, the time of progressing in their history, and the heroism of the past history. The people of the rising society do not have to deny their nationality i.e. they have to be very honest with themselves to make their remarkable features spontaneously and not with oppression. There is no need to fear the past in the rising society because it may be like an interesting light in a cold and corrupted life in its feelings and values.
We do not imagine in the society which constitutes its cultural atmosphere from a conscious "adult" , a creative "child" and an inspiring "parent" that its people are really involved in the progress scientifically , and to creativity in art and literature ; moreover , to originality legacy , with wisdom , and inspiring as well . They know their negative points without despair and they hope without exaggeration. They also suffer from their day satisfied and without any humility; they appeal without weakness and weakening. Again and again, they criticize the negative points without complaining and refuse without destruction; they suggest the solutions without vanity and they truly depend on their legacy where their religious values surpass and enlighten their behavior.
I am not pessimistic, but I think that there are prospects to reach an enlighting society which is covered by a creative conscious inspiring culture that ranges between difficulty and impossibility unless this society becomes a goal to a group of noble revolutionists who are ready to have the stabs of the consuming economists and of the autoritive legacy terrorists.[/english]

Ok , to be frank I didn't read the whole essay but accoring to what I've read I liked the three concepts : children , adults and parents which are mentioned by Eric Berne specially when he talks about the compatible child and the incompatible one and how that could affect their inclination to creativity. We should know that the person ,who is angry and confused most the time , is maybe trying to catch our attention to sth worng in his life and needs help from us .
That's very important point :idea:

It was also interesting to know about the three components that the cultural establishing depends on :
