Ambiguous Sentences .. Try and add yours

الأحد شباط 14, 2010 6:08 م

A word or a sentence is ambiguous if it can be understood or interpreted in more than one way.

We can mention two types of ambiguity :
Semantic ambiguity which depends on the meaning of a word or words which themselves can be misinterpreted.
Syntactic ambiguity means that the grammatical construction of the phrase or sentence brings about the misinterpretation - the word order or the fact that a word could be either a noun or a verb.

Now let's know more about ambiguous sentences and try to recognize the 2 interpretations of the required sentence   .. The one who answers the sentence should put another sentence for the others to let them interpret his/her ambiguous sentence

There are 2 interpretations for this sentence :
The old matron fed her dog biscuits
