المطلوب ترجمة هذا النص للقاء القادم .

عرس الزين

يقول الكاتب السوداني الذائع السيط " الطيب الصالح في روايته الموسومة – عرس الزين – ":

يولد الأطفال فيستقبلون الحياة بالصريخ ، هذا هو المعروف ولكن يروى أن الزين ، والعهدة على أمه والنساء اللائي حضرون ولادتها ، أول ما مس الأرض انفجر ضاحكا وظل هكذا طول حياته .

كبر وليس في فمه غير سنّين . واحدة في فكه الأعلى والأخرى في فكه الأسفل . وأمه تقول أن فمه كان مليئا بأسنان بيضاء كاللؤلؤ .

ولما كان في السادسة ذهبت به يوما لزيارة قريبات لها ، فمرا عند مغيب الشمس على خرابة يشاع
أنها مسكونة ، وفجأة تسمر الزين مكانه وأخذ يرتجف كمن به حمى ، ثم صرخ .

وبعدها لزم الفراش أياما ، ولما قام من مرضه ، كانت أسنانه جميعا قد سقطت ، إلا واحدة في فكه الأعلى ، وأخرى في فكه الأسفل .

Al-Zein's Wedding Party: ("ترجمة نص: "عرس الزين)
(Al-Zein's Wedding (Party, Ceremony)

Attayeb Saleh, the well-known Sudanese novelist (author), writes (mentions, says) in his novel which is entitled Ors Al-Zein [Al-Zein's Wedding] in Arabic: "When children are born, they {greet} life with a scream; this is well known. However, according to the mother and the women who attended his birth, as soon as Zein {came into the world} he {burst out} laughing. And this was how he remained his whole life. He grew up with only two teeth in his mouth, one in the upper jaw and one in the lower. His mother says that his mouth was once full of {pearly} white teeth [teeth like the seeds (pulps) of pomegranate). Then one day, when he was six years old, she took him to visit some of her relatives. As the sun was setting, they passed by some ruins which were rumoured to be {haunted}. Suddenly Zein became {fixed} to the spot, and began to tremble as if he had a fever. Then he screamed. After that he {took to} his bed for several days. When he {recovered}, all his teeth had fallen out except one in his upper jaw (maxilla) and one in the lower (mandible).

 Note that the metaphors in the TT have been underlined and put between curly brackets.
