Hi Safwat  ..........well I think that this word is a bad word no matter what.........and this is what all the other comments above are sayingso my suggestion is to forget what your friend said because maybe in Canada the usage and the meaning of this word differs from its meaning in the series and movies that we watch on TV........it's only a point of view

its a bad word but it was agreed to put its meaning in the dictionary as nonsense to give more explaining but if you look at the word you will see it translating it self by its self i hope im right |

I think that if you look at it as if it were of two separate words you will see that it is a bad and nasty word but I guess that the native use of it does not take it the way it looks ..... nonsense is the meaning and for them it is so ok to say it |

it's not a bad word , it's just so normal to tell a guy هراء ,i.e bullshit ,that's informal but acceptable , plus there r many other words in English which many ppl think of as bad words ,indeed it's all about wether u want to speak formal or informal English merci |
