As if كأن as though كأن if only يا ليت It's time حان الوقت would to يتمنى لو just imagine فقط تخيل wish يتمنى Suppose يفترض The form is: the simple past. Eg: It's time I went there. Notes : 1- All of the pronouns should take were , and not was. Eg: I wish I were rich. 2- If we have these words: wish, as if ….. alone, we have to put simple past. But if we have them in the past or with a word indicates that there is a past , we have to use had + past participle{V3}. Eg: I wish I saw him. Eg: I wished I had seen him. Here we have them in the past. Also, we have this sentence: I wish I had seen him last night. Here we have last night , that means there is a word indicates that there is a past. Other examples: He acts as if he knew English He acted as if he had known English. |
