As we have already seen Faustus has decided to take up magic because he delves that it would bring him words “profit and delight, power, honor.”
Faustus is so over impious that he seeks to common the all universe. Faustus wants to “raise the wind and rend the clouds” so Faustus likes to be a magician he can control the all world. At last, Faustus declares his ultimate goal; he wants thus Faustus seeks to become a god. He wants to attain a status akin to that of god.

What is the dramatic function of the angels?
The Good Angels is an allegorical figure that represents Faustus soul .But the Bad Angel represents Faustus ambition .The Good Angel implores Faustus to throw away his magic books he also request him to read the Bible book and to go back the God. The Bad Angel, however, encourages Faustus to preside with magic so that he can achieve his ambition. The Bad Angel assures Faustus that magic will help him to become like a God. The appearance of the tow angels indicates the inner conflict which Faustus is experience after he has decided to take up magic .Unfortunately Faustus listen to the voice of The Bad Angel.
