1- Combine the following sentences, using the second sentence as an adjective clause (20m)

c- The people were friendly. I spoke to them.
d- I apologized to the woman. I spilled her coffee.

2- Complete the second sentence in each pair with passive gerund (10m)
a- We like reading to our children. Our children ………………to.
b- We enjoy teaching children about peace. Children enjoy ………………

3- Change the adverb clauses to modifying adverbial phrases (20m)
a- Because Ali wanted to hurt her feeling, he told her the bad news.
b- Before I talked to you, I had never understood your formula.

d- After u read the chapter four times, I finally understood the author’s theory.

4- Find the errors in the following sentences and make the necessary correction (10m)

5- Supply pairs of English words which can be distinguished by the following sets of sounds (10m)
