السلام عليكم ياشباب كيفكم اخباركم ان شاء الله تمام

عندي واجب في phnology المجموعة الثانية من الاسئلة واتمنى تساعدوني في حلها بليز

معليش بثقل عليكم شوية وهذي هي الاسئلة

1. Draw a chart illustrating the cardinal vowels.


2. On what basis are vowels classified?


3. What is meant by a "natural clase"? Is it a phonological feature?


4. What kind of features are "anterior" and "coronal"? And what are their areas of production?


5. What consonant feature distinguishes between those consonants that are associated with vibrating vocal cards and those which are not?


6. What is meant by stridency and which sends belong to this class?


7. Which pharyngeal sounds are found in Arabic? Are they (-low or +low) consonants?


8. Explain the notions of phonemes vs. allophones. Give examples.


9. Does the phoneme represent the abstract or the surface level?


10. How many levels of sound representations are there? What are they? Give an example from Arabic.


11. What do phonological rules do? Mention three with examples.


12. What does the following phonological rule mean?
