[english]sometimes we here or say many Idioms without knowing the exactly meaning of them , so I will write some of it with meaning ... I wish you like it[/english] castel in the air حلم بعيد المنال apple -pie order في انتظام تام face the music يواجه الصعاب برجولة eye-opener مفاجأة - شراب مسكر لطرد النعاس what is the matter? ما الأمر under the weather مريض - سكران the die is cast نفذ السهم - تقرر الأمر stand out يصمد as well ايضا by heart عن ظهر قلب would rather يفضل by the way على فكرة to be continued |

Many Thanks, DALA3ABUDHABI I like learning idioms a lot because as 3beer said thay make the language easier, more interesting, and more challenging. To me personally, I memorise the idioms not to use them in the academic writing, for they are not allowed to be much in there, but because when I hear someone talks to me by using them, they will help me a lot to understand well. Good Dala3 Thank you for these idioms face the music is a good one, but pay attention such idioms are syntactically rigid they cannot be passivized nor can they undergo any morphological changes. That is to say -it is impoosible to say the music was faced by him or her or whatever . We cannot substitute -the - for a any ways,thanks alot |
