عم متولي- بائع اللب والفول السوداني والحلوى – بائع متجول يعرفه سكان الحلمية وما يجاورها من جهات , يسير بعمامته البيضاء الطويلة وجلبابه الواسع الأكمام حاملا على ظهره قفته العتيقة وينادي على بضاعته يعدد للأطفال أصنافها بلهجة السودانيين وبصوت قد أضعفه الفقر والهرم . نشأ هذا الرجل في السودان وحارب في صفوف المهديين برتبة قائد فرقة , وفد عاش طول عمره وحيدا ليس زوجة ولا بنون , وهو يسكن حجرة صغيرة مظلمة في عطفة عبدا لله بيك لا تحوي من الأثاث غير صندوق عتيق وحصيرة عليها لحاف ووسادة باليتن , وعلى الرغم من مظاهر فقره المدقع فأن النظافة تحوط كل ما يملك

Translation :
The uncle ( Mutually ) – who is an a strolling seller sells the corns, peanuts and sweets is widely known between “ Alhalamia” citizens and the closer areas , is walking and wearing his loose garment of abroad sleeve’s covering his head with a long- white-turban, carries on his back his oldest scuttle and crying in an Sudanese accent to hear ( or to invite) the children to buy his goods , and he appears to be tired affecting by his old age and poverty.
This old man grows and fights as a divisional commander with Almahdy- Sudanese army, he lives his long age lonely with out wife or sons in a small darken room by the ‘Abdullah Beg’ curvature quarter. His room seems to be clear of furniture except an old box , simple mat covered with ragged quilt and ragged pillows.
Although of his extreme poverty the cleanness predominate to all his possess.
Now , thank you to read my translation ,and to evaluate it , however, still I am beginner in translation , but I chose my way in this field hopping the success , and as they said “ the thousand miles begins in one step” , and I have to put some manners in translation :
1- is to read the object carefully and to understand it.
2- Chose the correct tenses which is suitable for the object.
3- About my self I see the using of easy sufficient words ,however, not to make the object more complex to the listener.
4- You can also uses your own style or adding a phrase here or here according to the needing of translation , because the languages are not the same in manners .
5- Allowing the name of common content as it written or spoken in its mother language, e.g. the name of towns , persons, places etc.. if it hadn’t known substituted clear meaning in against language.
