College Life
College life is the most brilliant and important stage in our life. It is a new experience which we can live within a community of doctors, educated students, as well as, open and friendly atmosphere. So, I personally decided to study English Language at Albaath Universiy to learn more about it and to experience this wonderful stage.
After I got the baccalaureate with a good degree, I entered the faculty of arts. I chose English Department because English becomes an international language . Also, it is very necessary and required in all fields especially in computer and Internet. Therefore, I want to learn and speak it very well in order to understand and communicate with the people outside my country. Furthermore, I hope to achieve my ambition to be a translator or a teacher of English.
Now, I really enjoyed in my college. It is interesting to wake up early, attend lectures, and meet new friends. Likewise, the teaching is good and helps me to develop my skills. The doctors are always ready to explain every thing I want and give me advice. Moreover, I have honest friends from different cities, those provided me an opportunity to increase my experience. Of course, such supportive doctors and understanding students encouraged me to have self-confidence and to keep studying hard .
However, there are many difficulties, which stand in the way of the student’s progress. First, the number of the students is very large and the halls are small, so a lot of students, unfortunately, lose their lectures. Second, some doctors don't respect or care about us, especially, when they correct our exam papers, sometimes, they give us false marks, which make us pessimistic. Third, the seminars and the translation class hours are short and we , as students, are in need of translation and conversation subjects widely .
In addition, we miss motivations from both the doctors and the college management. Unfortunately, most students graduated without being able to speak English correctly because we do not have any activities in English such as acting our plays on the college theater, making competitions, and playing games in English. This kind of entertainment can help us in improving our spoken English ant taking it easily. Besides, the manager should make a journey for all students to Britain every year.
In other words, there is no doubt that the college life is one of the most beautiful stages in every one's life. It is wonderful to live for four years with special students, fun colleagues, and helpful teachers. Indeed, despite suffering some obstacles,you can by good planing to get the knowledge you need. _________________
