I would like in this topic to write about some facts about our country
- There are about 5000 archaeological sites in Syria.
- Syria is the birthplace of the first alphabet in the world.
- Damascus, the capital of Syria, is the oldest inhabited capital in the world.
- Syria was lived by human beings from 500000 years before Christ.
- Latakia might be the oldest port in the world.
- and the stadium of Amrit might be the oldest in the world.
- The oldest 3 minarets in the world are in Syria (Omyyad mosque in
Damascus, Omary mosque in Bosra, al-Hayer palace near Palmyra)
- The oldest Churches and Chapels in the world are in Syria.
- The only four villages in the world that still speak the language of Jesus Christ are in Syria (Maalula, jobaddin, Bakhaa, Kaledoon)
- seven international languages were spoken in Ugarite (lots of texts were found written in those languages).
- the biggest mosaic in the world was found in Hama.
