Here is an idiom:
My boss is rather a cold fish. I don't even know if he likes me or not.
What does "a cold fish" mean?

"Cold fish" means that the person described shows no sympathy or fear.

Oxford dictionary says:
"a cold fish: a person who seems unfriendly and without strong emotions."

A new one:
He finally arrived safe and sound last week.

What does "safe and sound" mean?
