Well, it seems that I'll not be able to solve it, anyway!

No
I think they are 100 pence in a pound
Penny (Pl. pennies or pence) Pennies is used to refer to the coins, and pence to refer to an amount of money
You let me look up the dictionary to make sure of this piece of information. Thank you   *1

But where is your new riddle?  8)

Thank you for correcting my answer. However, I deserve half the prize, coz I knew half the answer.

Here is my "simple" riddle. It is simple because it is an old one.

A farmer was going to town with a fox, a goose and a sack of corn. When he came to a stream, he had to cross in a tiny boat, and could only take across one thing at a time. However, if he left the fox alone with the goose, the fox would eat the goose, and if he left the goose alone with the corn, the goose would eat the corn. How does he get them all safely over the stream?

Ala Al-Ibrahim,
  I think the best way is to throw the three in the stream in order to get rid of them and not to think about the suitable way

I think he takes the goose across, comes back and takes the fox, and brings back the goose. Then he takes the corn and returns once more and fetches the goose.     *1

OK now mine : Shall I put it now or prepare it for another day

The riddle is : What is the only word that contains all the vowels ?  *ورود
