In this thread we are going to enrich our vocabulary in an interesting way. All you have to do is to add a group of words or expressions; about 4, 5 or 6 items in a group, one of these items doesn’t belong to others or doesn't fit them easily. What you need to do first is to pick up the odd item then state your reason and add a new group.

Example:

Which of the following is the odd one out?
A.
1. Human
2. Dolphin
3. Shark
4. Whale
Human is the odd one out. The others are sea animals.

B.
1. Sit down
2. Take the weight off your feet
3. Stand up
4. Put your feet up
Stand up is the odd one out. The others are all to do with sitting down and relaxing.

Let's start now

Which of the following is the odd one out?
1. Women
2. Men
3. Mice
4. Children
5. Teeth
6. Apples

Hi Abeer.. Well, this sounds such an interesting topic .. It is great!

This sounds easy, but complicated. ermmmm, well, there could be more than one answer, I guess. Anyway, either "Apples" or "Mice". Mice are animals "rodents". Apples are fruit. Oh, I can't concentrate, it is 5 AM and there's a dog barking outside. LOL. I think, I am going to shoot it. hehehe.
I am not going to answer this one, and will wait for your discussion.
I'll add mine:

1. elephant
2. panda
3. pig
4. tiger
5. goat
6. sheep
7. snake

Thanks a lot for participating
Well, the correct answer is "Apples".The others have irregular plural forms.
Woman>> Women
Man>> Men
Mouse>> Mice
Child >> Children
Tooth>> Teeth

While Apple>> Apples have a regular plural form.

The odd one out is "snake".The others are animals with four legs while snake is a reptile.

The game rule is to add only one group after you pick up the odd item and state the reason.
I'll add one of yours now but please for the next times add only one group. We're not in a hurry :wink:
