A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree.
A young boy loved to come and play around it everyday.
He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow...
He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.
Time went by...the little boy had grown up,
And he no longer played around the tree
One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.
"Come and play with me,” the tree asked the boy
"I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more"
The boy replied.
"I want toys. I need money to buy them."
"Sorry, but I do not have money...
But you can pick all my apples and sell them.
So, you will have money.
" The boy was so excited.
He grabbed all the apples and left happily....
The boy never came back after  picking the apples. ...
The tree was sad....
One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned
And the tree was excited "Come and play with me" the tree said.
"I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family
We need a house
Can you help me?
" Sorry”, !!
I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches
To build your house.
" So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily.
The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then.
The tree was again lonely and sad.
One hot summer day,
The man returned and the tree was delighted.....
"Come and play with me!" the tree said....
"I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself.
“Can you give me a boat?"
“Said the man”.
"Use my trunk to build your boat.
You can sail far away and be happy.
" So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat.
He went sailing and never showed up for a long time..............
Finally, the man returned after many years.
"Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore.
No more apples for you...
" The tree said”.
"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite
" The man replied.
"No more trunk for you to climb on"
"I am too old for that now" the man said.
"I really cannot give you anything...
The only thing left is my dying root,”
The tree said with tears.
"I do not need much now, just a place to rest.
I am tired after all these years" the man replied.
"Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest,
Come, come sit down with me and rest.
" The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears  . Do you know who is the Man ?????   He is you and the tree is your parent. !!!!!

A GLASS OF MILK

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay  his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was  hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water! She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and then asked, How much do I owe you? "You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness." He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart." As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.

Many years later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, and then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words: "Paid in full with one glass of milk"

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."

There's a saying which goes something like this: Bread cast on the waters comes back to you. The good deed you do today may benefit you or someone you love at the least expected time.  If you never see the deed again at least you will have made the world a better place - And, after all, isn’t that what life is all about?
