(These metaphysics of magicians ………to gain a deity)
As we have already seen Faustus has decided to take up magic because he delves that it would bring him words “profit and delight, power, honor.”
Faustus is so over impious that he seeks to common the all universe. Faustus wants to “raise the wind and rend the clouds” so Faustus likes to be a magician he can control the all world. At last, Faustus declares his ultimate goal; he wants thus Faustus seeks to become a god. He wants to attain a status akin to that of god.

What is the dramatic function of the angels?
The Good Angels is an allegorical figure that represents Faustus soul .But the Bad Angel represents Faustus ambition .The Good Angel implores Faustus to throw away his magic books he also request him to read the Bible book and to go back the God. The Bad Angel, however, encourages Faustus to preside with magic so that he can achieve his ambition. The Bad Angel assures Faustus that magic will help him to become like a God. The appearance of the tow angels indicates the inner conflict which Faustus is experience after he has decided to take up magic .Unfortunately Faustus listen to the voice of The Bad Angel.

Doctor Faustus

Faustus confuses that his German friends have at last convinced him to practice magic. Nevertheless he asserts that his decision to take up magic is a personal choice .it is an enactment of his “own fantasy”. So Faustus is responsible for his own choice .

The tow Scholars are Faustus true friend, they are so warred about his absence . Faustus servant tells them that his master has been seeing Valdes and Cornelius . The tow Scholars immediately express their sadness for Faustus because they know that they are infamous for their magic work .

The tow scholars express their sorrow for Faustus because he has fallen into magic .Therefore they decide tell the Rector so that he can bring him back

Page (11) line (5)

Having prayed and sacrificed to the devi, Faustus begins his ”incantations”

Page (12) line (25)
In the Holy Book ,God is light it self ,but the devil is Darkness it self .

Faustus is happy that he has managed to raise the Devil . So his “incantations “ were successful
Faustus is tragic figure mainly because he is unaware that the devil is seeking his soul . he is not aware that Mephostophilis ,how is “full of obedience and humility “ will deceive him at the end .

Faustus is so pleased that he calls him self a “conjuror laureate”

Page (13)
Faustus is tragically aware of what Mephostophilis is doing. He falsely thinks that Mephostophilis is coming to catch his ” glorious soul “.In deed the devil appears after Faustus has a racked the name of God and abjured the Holy Book .

Page (13) line (50)
In Christianity , the Trinity means God of the father ,God the son and God the Holy Spirit .Thus , Mephostophilis encourages Faustus who abjure The Trinity .
The mean idea here is that the devil cannot affect those who obey God and carry out his commands
.

عفوا منك بس صرتي سنة ثانية وماعم تميزي بين رواية ومسرحية *ممم

عم تقولي اسم المادة مسرح(في عصر النهضة) فـ لازم يكون سؤالك
اذا كان في مسرحية ثانية ولا لاء

أكيد في مسرحية ثانية هي spanish tagedy
بس ماني متاكد من كتابة الاسم

اما الروايات فهي اللي رح تدرسوها في مادة النثر 1800 مادة فصل ثاني

لجين اكيد ماهدفي اتفهمن بس حبيت ميزلك بين الرواية والمسرحية
مشان تخربطي مرة ثانية وتنحط وحدة علينا كطلاب سنة ثانية :lol:
